National Team Quick Guide for Athletes

Welcome to the Judo Trinidad and Tobago (JudoTT) National Team programme! This page provides a simplified guide for athletes who are part of, or aiming to join, Team TTO. Here you will find key information on eligibility, registration, conduct expectations, training, competitions, and access to all required forms.


1. Joining the National Team

  • Eligibility: Athletes must meet age, rank, and club attendance requirements.
  • Top 4 placement at JudoTT Nationals grants automatic qualification, but you must still complete registration.
  • Registration is completed via the National Team Application Form ([FRM-SEL-202510-009]).

2. Codes of Conduct

  • [POL-ATH-202510-002] Athlete Code of Conduct – rules and expectations for training, competitions, and behaviour.
  • [POL-COA-202510-003] Coach and Technical Staff Code of Conduct – standards for coaches and technical officials interacting with athletes.

All National Team members must read, understand, and sign these documents before final registration.


3. Training & Competitions

  • Follow the [POL-TRN-202510-005] National Training and Competition Framework for team practices, fitness requirements, and competition readiness.
  • Maintain regular club attendance to remain in good standing.
  • Use JudoTV and other resources for competition analysis and skill development.

Training schedules, travel information, and competition plans are coordinated by the National Coach and shared via official WhatsApp groups and email communications.


4. Athlete Support & Development

  • Support policies are outlined in [POL-ATH-202510-011] Athlete Support and Development Policy.
  • Funding, fundraising letters, and sponsorship guidance are provided to each athlete as required.
  • Access to training gear, national JudoGi, and official back patches is coordinated through JudoTT.
  • IJF Membership registrations organized through JudoTT annually as a group or by individual request.

5. Ethics & Fair Play

  • Follow all rules on anti-doping and fair play as per [POL-ETH-202510-012] Anti-Doping and Fair Play Guidelines.
  • Integrity in training, competition, and interactions with peers is mandatory.

6. Forms & Downloads

All forms must be submitted according to the deadlines outlined by the National Coach and JudoTT Secretariat.
