Document Status Definitions
JudoTT governance documents may be issued under different status classifications to ensure transparency and proper oversight. A Draft document is under development and subject to consultation and revision prior to formal approval. An Approved document has been formally adopted by the JudoTT Executive Committee. A Ratified document has additionally received endorsement by the JudoTT Member Clubs at a duly convened meeting. Once approved and ratified, a document is considered In Effect and forms part of the official governance framework of Judo Trinidad and Tobago. All documents remain subject to periodic review and amendment in accordance with governance best practice.
Amendment Procedure
JudoTT governance documents may be amended to reflect operational experience, regulatory changes, international federation requirements, or strategic developments.
Proposed amendments may be submitted by the National Coach, Executive Committee members, or Member Clubs. All amendments must be reviewed by the JudoTT Executive Committee and, where applicable, ratified by the JudoTT Member Clubs at a duly convened meeting.
Upon approval, updated versions will be issued with a revised version number and effective date. Superseded versions will be archived for record-keeping and governance transparency.
Version Control Legend
JudoTT governance documents use a structured reference code to ensure clarity and traceability. The format is:
[TYPE-CATEGORY-YYYYMM-XXX]
For example: [POL-NAT-202510-001], where the last three digits (001) indicate the unique document number across all JudoTT governance documents.
- POL – Policy document
- NAT – National Team category
- 202510 – Originally issued October 2025
- XXX – Document number unique across all documents
This numbering system ensures each document is uniquely identifiable and allows for controlled updates and historical record keeping.
